If your boss holds the opinion that ‘people come first,’ this means that he follows the affiliative style. Here the leader gives more importance to the subordinates and puts their welfare first.
This brings in the goodwill of the subordinates for the leaders. However, this might affect the workflow. That is because the first job of a boss is to finish the job.
This is the least productive style of all leadership styles. It is also called fake leadership. Here your boss is neither interested in you nor your work. All he cares about is to finish his formality of doing his work by supervising you.
These leaders are the most harmful ones in an organization. Neither the employees nor the work show any development under this form of leadership.
